Every reseller program is sold on the panel, and almost none of them explain what the panel actually does. If you have been told you will "get your own dashboard" without knowing what a credit, a line or a connection limit means, this article is the missing documentation.
An IPTV reseller panel is a web dashboard where you create, renew and manage customer subscriptions yourself, using credits as the internal currency. It shows your credit balance, every active line, its expiry date and its connection limit.
The three terms you need: a credit is your inventory, a line is one customer subscription, and a connection is one simultaneous stream on that line.
What is an IPTV reseller panel?
An IPTV reseller panel is a web-based dashboard supplied by the provider that lets a reseller manage customer subscriptions independently. You log in through a browser, and everything a customer needs can be issued in about thirty seconds without contacting anyone.
The commercial significance is autonomy. Without a panel, every sale requires messaging your provider and waiting — which means you cannot sell at 11pm on a Saturday, which is precisely when people decide to buy IPTV. With a panel, activation is instant and the business runs on your schedule.
Most panels are built on Xtream Codes or a similar system, so the interface will feel familiar if you have used one before. The vocabulary below is essentially universal.
How IPTV reseller credits work
Credits are the internal currency of the panel, spent to create or extend a subscription. You buy them in bulk at wholesale, and each subscription you issue deducts a fraction of one.
| Subscription length | Credits deducted | Cost at $19.96/credit | From a 25-credit pack |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 0.1 | $2.00 | up to 250 subscriptions |
| 3 months | 0.3 | $5.99 | up to 83 subscriptions |
| 6 months | 0.6 | $11.98 | up to 41 subscriptions |
| 12 months | 1.0 | $19.96 | up to 25 subscriptions |
Notice that longer terms are proportionally cheaper for the customer but not for you — one year costs exactly ten times one month in credits. The economics of pushing annual plans come from reduced churn and support, not from a wholesale discount.
The question to ask before you buy
Do these credits expire? Some providers void unused credits after 6 or 12 months. That turns your inventory into a countdown and pushes you into discounting to avoid writing it off. Credits that never expire let you buy at the best tier and sell at your own pace.
Lines, connections and expiry
A line is one customer subscription: the username, password and server URL your customer enters into their player app. Every line carries two properties that matter commercially.
Expiry date
When the line stops working. Your panel lists this for every customer, and it is the most useful column in the whole dashboard — it is your renewal pipeline. Resellers who work from the expiry list rather than waiting for customers to complain retain far more of them.
Connection limit
How many devices can stream from that line simultaneously. A one-connection line works on any number of devices, but only one can watch at a time. This is the single most common source of customer confusion, and the simplest upsell in the business — a household watching football downstairs while a child watches cartoons upstairs needs two.
| Connections | Suits | Typical retail uplift |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Single viewer or one television | Base price |
| 2 | Couple, or TV plus a phone | +40 – 60% |
| 3 – 4 | Family household, multiple rooms | +80 – 140% |
| 5+ | Shared houses, small venues | Negotiated |
Creating vs renewing: get this right
Creating a line issues new credentials. Renewing extends an existing line so the customer keeps the same username and password. For an existing customer, always renew.
Recreating a line instead of renewing means your customer must reconfigure every device they own — the television, the phone, the tablet, the box in the spare room. It is the fastest way to turn a routine renewal into a support conversation and a refund request. It is also a mistake almost every new reseller makes exactly once.
A typical day in the panel
The actual work is smaller than people expect. A reseller with 100 customers spends perhaps twenty minutes a day here.
| Task | Frequency | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Create a line for a new customer | Per sale | ~30 seconds |
| Renew an expiring line | Per renewal | ~15 seconds |
| Check the expiry list for the coming week | Daily | 2 minutes |
| Add a connection to an existing line | Occasional upsell | ~20 seconds |
| Check remaining credit balance | Weekly | 10 seconds |
The time sink in reselling is not the panel — it is customer support. Which is why sending clients to written setup guides such as our TiviMate walkthrough or IPTV Smarters setup is worth more than any panel feature.
How to judge a panel before you pay
Ask for a demonstration before buying credits. Any legitimate provider will show you the panel. Check these six things specifically.
| Check | What good looks like | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Credit expiry | Never expire, in writing | "Use within 6 months" |
| Renewal function | Extends the existing line | Only allows creating new lines |
| Expiry list | Sortable, shows all upcoming | No visibility of expiry dates |
| Connection editing | Adjustable after creation | Fixed at creation only |
| White-label | Your brand, not theirs | Provider name shown to your customers |
| Backup servers | Included and documented | No answer, or "rarely needed" |
The white-label question deserves particular attention. If your customers see the upstream provider's name, you are building someone else's brand and your customer list can be taken from you. Confirm it before you pay, not after.
Common panel problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Customer says their login stopped working | Line expired, or it was recreated rather than renewed | Check the expiry date in the panel first. If it was recreated, send the new credentials and apologise — then renew properly next time. |
| "Maximum connections reached" error | More devices streaming simultaneously than the line permits | Confirm how many devices are watching at once. Either the customer needs an extra connection, or a device is still streaming in another room. |
| Credit balance dropped faster than expected | Long subscriptions issued, or lines recreated instead of renewed | Audit recent line creations. Recreating a 12-month line spends a full credit each time rather than extending the existing one. |
| New line does not work immediately | Propagation delay, or credentials copied with trailing whitespace | Wait two minutes, then re-check the server URL and password character by character. Trailing spaces from copy-paste are the usual culprit. |
| Channels missing for one customer only | Wrong package or bouquet assigned to that line | Open the line in the panel and confirm it is on the full package rather than a restricted one. |
Almost every panel problem falls into one of those five. Working through them yourself before escalating to your provider is what separates a reseller who looks professional from one who forwards every message upstream.
